Dear Sir Farkas,

When I started at Ultramar Maritime Agency, It worked as a replacement in 1993 so I started at vessels disbursement account, the job was responsible for issuing expense payments for the vessels according to customer requirements.

After that job, in a few month later, my Agent gave me the chance to join the Maritime Department, so I started to work with inbound clearance and dispatch of vessels; Oil Tankers, Containers, Roll on Roll Off, Charter vessel too, in that Area I learned how to prepare documentation assistance for import, export and transhipment cargoes, Husbanding, Launch Services and Tugs coordination, Ships stores, bunkering, freight collection, among other requirements that our customers may need.

I took care of fishmeal exports, SAL (LCL), containerized cargo shipments, fish oil, and others like copper.

I had to tend to different kinds of things inside the office like delivering TACS for containers removal by the consignees.

During the time I worked in overseas, I tried to take advantage of many opportunities I’d voluntarily provide support to the chief Head of Operations, so there was a very good opportunity that I had to learn from him on the job and he required me to spend much of the time between the office and the port. So I liked it very much.

I think one of the most rewarding jobs during my experience was the dock work, because not only did I work extensive hours, but also was in an environment that demanded cooperation, teamwork and support. I think I work very well in this type of situation.
